Although it's still warm and sunny in some parts of the world, designers have been showcasing their Fall/Winter 2006 collections for a while now. I thought it was time I picked the five must-have looks the wardrobe of the fashionista awaits.
Draping Knits - Smart, comfortable and ultra flattering silhouettes make this trend the number one in my book. Ruching, draping, tucking and pleating effects will conceal any figure challenges and create interesting texture effect that will look smart and versatile.

For IGIGI Fall/Winter 2006 collection I designed the following looks:
History of Opulence ? Imagine sumptuous brocades, glistening diamonds and rich velvets of the Baroque period. Then fast forward to the lavishly decorated age of the Rococo style of the court of Marie Antoinette. And if this did not create enough of the feeling of opulence, then let's delve into the Neoclassical Period of Napoleon and Josephine's rule. This very exciting trend has been seen all-over the catwalks for the Fall/Winter 06 season and could be quite fun to wear for the eveningwear, or for the military inspired coats and jackets.

Red Passion? Think Femme Fatale meets Carmen. This hot trend is a definite power statement that shined like an exclamation point among the neutrally toned color palettes this upcoming season. Wear it in all of its fabulous shades, from cherry reds to deeper hues.

Plaid Mad ? Pushing the envelope out of Scotland, tartan prints have taken all over the world. Designers have collectively played with this distinguished print to create anything from skirts to jackets to accessories to lingerie.

Grey Anatomy-Stock-up on this neutral alternative to black as it has been dominating the runways from Paris, Milan to New York and Los Angeles. Restrained, chic and edgy, the color of steel could be softened by knit jersey and work as a perfect backdrop to a multitude of different shades.
