Dear Stacey,
For my 20th Anniversary I am going on a cruise with my husband. It's my first one and I'm very excited! We will be sailing around the Mediterranean for 8 days. I need a few outfits for the trip though; I know there will be two fancy dinners on the boat and I also need something for those long day trips in tiny port towns. What do you recommend?

Sharon,
Congratulations on 20 years! That is quite an accomplishment. The team here at IGIGI sends our best to you and your husband.
I first recommend that you pack lightly, so look for versatile options to take with you. Onboard cabins are notoriously tiny and if you're anything like me, you want your bags to be full of souvenirs on the way home and not the same old clothing you started with!
I selected four dresses that would be the perfect quartet to pack. IGIGI dresses travel like a dream and barely wrinkle, so they will be your suitcase's new best friends soon. First of all, I can't let you get anywhere near a boat without the Polka Dot Dress with Smocking in Navy. On land it's a fun, flirty dress that will keep you from wilting in the heat, but by sea its retro styling will make you look like a nautical pin-up in an instant (just add lipstick and heels!). Next, the Colorblock Maxi Dress in Red is a piece that can be accessorized from casual (daytime: pashmina, chunky jewelry, flip flops) to chic (evening: diamond studs, upswept hair, strappy sandals) in an instant. Third, the Blissful Summer Days Dress in Daffodil Yellow says it all. Blissful. Summer. Days. Yes, please! And the soft yellow color is so warm, friendly and feminine. Espadrille sandals will match perfectly, and they are also comfortable to walk around in all day. And finally, for those romantic evenings strolling around the deck, hand in hand with your man after a long gourmet dinner... The Golden Goddess Dress with Shawl should do the trick.
