A Plus-Size Suit for All Occasions

When you want to look your best and kick some butt in the board room, a perfectly fitted plus-size suit is a must. Luckily IGIGI has you covered with the IGIGI Lexa Plus-Size Jacket and the IGIGI Monroe Plus Size Pants.
I ordered the IGIGI Monroe Plus Size Pants and the IGIGI Lexa Plus-Size Jacket with the intention of wearing the two pieces together as a suit and they looked fabulous together. I chose to pair the two IGIGI pieces with a cropped, boucle wool sweater with a gold peter pan collar detail and simple, office-appropriate black pumps.
When the weather gets a bit warmer here in Chicago, I will wear the IGIGI Monroe Plus Size Pants and the IGIGI Lexa Plus-Size Jacket with a lighter, looser collared shirt for the office. These two amazing separates can be dressed down as well. The jacket would be excellent with a cute, flirty, patterned skater dress and a pair of ankle boots, and the pants can be dressed down with a fun graphic tee and a pair of wedges.
The IGIGI Monroe Plus Size Pants are made from a poly/rayon/elastane and because of the nature of the tailoring, they do not have a lot of stretch, so if you are between sizes, I would recommend ordering up. The wide-leg look is very flattering and the IGIGI Monroe Plus Size Pants do not cling to the body, which is a big plus for office-appropriate bottoms. They are not lined, so the wide-leg balances out any cling that might happen.
Luckily, because the IGIGI Monroe Plus Size Pants are not lined, they are easier to transition across seasons. Due to the cold, cold weather, I chose to wear a pair of tights layered underneath, but in the warmer weather I cannot wait to wear them as a part of my summer work wardrobe.
The IGIGI Lexa Plus-Size Jacket has equally excellent tailoring and the jacket might be the most beautifully fitted blazer that I have ever come across. The pleats around the two button closure, provide a certain amount of camouflage around the midsection, which can be a problem area for a lot of women, and the lapels create a system of framing that directs the eye back to the face.
The IGIGI Lexa Plus-Size Jacket is made from the same poly/viscose/elastane material that the IGIGI Monroe Plus-Size Pants are made from, and like the pants, the jacket does not have a lot of stretch. However, I found that the IGIGI Lexa Plus-Size Jacket runs very true to size, so I would recommend ordering your normal size. For reference, I am wearing a US size 14 in the pictures above.
How would you style the IGIGI Lexa Plus-Size Jacket? How about the IGIGI Monroe Plus-Size Pants? Would you wear them together as a smart business suit or would you dress them down and wear them more casually as well? Let me know in the comments!
