Cool, Comfortable, and Confident: Talking Plus-Size Fashion with Jo Tan

Posted by on February 4, 2014

Jollin (Jo) Tan, 21, lives in Singapore and is a full-time student at University pursuing a major in Literature. Jo is also a full-time poet, part-time rockstar, potential cat lady, and a burgeoning plus-size fashion blogger.

Jo says that half of her closet has the soft-grunge-y rockstar thing going on, with lots of acid wash skinnies, band tees, and muscle tees with a lot of black. The other half of her closet is full of pastel florals and chiffon. “Really, I’m not even sure what’s going on half the time, but I’m glad it works for me,” says Jo. “I suppose if I had to tie my fashion down, I would describe it as an edgy floral kinda look? Like, you know what floral Dr Martens boots look like? That look. The ones with the black base.”

Jo took the time to talk with IGIGI about her cool, edgy style, how she got into plus-size fashion blogging, and how important it is for her to be comfortable in her wardrobe and her body.

Jo says that her celebrity crush/fashion inspo is Scarlett Johansson, but she does not go out of her way to dress like her. It’s important for Jo to have her own, unique fashion identity.

Posted by on January 24, 2014

Natashia Judge, 23, is originally from Wales, but has been living in Gloucester, England for the last several years. She works as a medical secretary and her passions are photography, fashion, home interiors, swimming, and board games. She is also a fantastic plus-size fashion blogger and has a degree in photography. She loves taking the time to shoot her OotD‘s to post on her blog “Tea For Tash,” since it combines her love of photography and fashion. Plus, taking selfies is always fun.

She finds fashion inspiration on Tumblr and from simply people-watching, since you can pick up on so many trends just from watching people walk down the street.

Natashia took the time to talk with IGIGI about being unafraid to stand out as a plus-size woman and how to pull off any look with confidence.
