"I wore this dress for my "Autumn Equinox" Concert and Birthday Celebration. I felt like a true princess in it! The dress was SUPER comfortable, I loved the off the shoulder top of the dress, and the sequins on the bottom sparkled with the lights all night. It truly was a magical dress, I wish I could wear it for every concert!"
"This year I was host of Haute Curves – LA Fashion Week, which made history by being the first plus size fashion show during Los Angeles Fashion Week!
I wore my IGIGI gown to walk the red carpet and to be interviewed by all the press in attendance.
I got so many compliments on my dress, the details really sparkled when the lights hit it which made for a very glamorous look that was perfect for the occasion.

"I was sent by Linda Koch of Big Girl’s Paradise on November 10th to
London, UK to judge the MISS BBW INTERNATIONAL Beauty contest which was
being filmed by the BBC for their documentary Britain’s Biggest Beautys.
The gown was clearly made with great care and quality.I like how the design brought attention to the décolleté with generous fabric flowing below the waist. I especially loved the beaded tulle fabric overlay, as the quality was evident in its weight as well as its design and attention to detail.
I am less busty so needed some padding to fill out the cups. I loved the color as
it felt very fall and the gold beaded fabric gave it that dressy look I adore. Only
down side was it’s length. I’m 5’8 and even with heels it was quite long, but I
have had so many experiences with dresses being too short that I hesitate to
complain about length.
I think this design works best for my Figure 8 shape.
And I am a fan of IGIGI because Yuliya takes all body types into consideration and works to flatter all figures while addressing current fashion, using gorgeous colors and high quality materials.
I have had the great fortune to meet Yuliya in person and so enjoyed her company. She is a delight as are her designs!
Some of the compliments I received were,
-“Stunning lady, stunning dress (and you should see the embroidery work
on the dress, it is amazing!!)”
“La robe est magnifique!”
“Their stuff is so beautiful!”
“Princess of the night...”
“ Tu es magnifique Velvet comme toujours et toujours ton sourire
merveilleux !
“Absolutely STUNNING!!!”
“U are the cutest thing!!! Love Igigi dresses I have their pencil skirt!!!”
“Beautiful dress, beautiful lady!”
“I do like that dress! Don't know where I'd wear it, but it’s pretty.”
“This gown is so gorgeous!

"So as I was watching The Real Housewives of Atlanta Sunday before last my girl Kenya Moore coined a phrase that stuck with me. She had on a long flowy gown and did a twirl and said that she was “Gone With The Wind Fabulous”. I immediately fell in love with that saying and even googled a pic of it and shared it on my facebook page right after the show went off and also made that my twitter background photo earlier last week.
I decided then that I would name my Christmas Day outfit blog that title. I had been hoping all week that no other blogger would do the same. I decided then that I would name my Christmas Day outfit blog that title. I had been hoping all week that no other blogger would do the same. But low and behold yesterday I got an email alert from the fab curvy blogger Naturally Fashionable and her latest post was titled none other than, “Gone With The Wind Fabulous”. I thought about renaming my post “The Belle of the Ball” but I just had my heart set all week on “Gone With The Wind Fabulous” so me and Naturally Fashionable are just gonna have to share it, lol.
You see IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel sent me this fabulous gown a couple of months ago for review and I knew that it would be perfect to wear as my Christmas Day dress since I’m hosting the family dinner. It is called the Lakshmi Beaded Gown, and it so reminds me of old Hollywood glamour. To add more of a “Gone With The Wind” touch to it I paired it up with a faux-fur Mossimo coat ($35 from Target 2009), brown Chanel sunglasses and long black evening gloves. The gown is black at the top and the bottom is a deep burgundy hue made of a beaded mesh material with exquisite detailing tulle fabric with two-tone sequins embroidery and a black sash belt.
Now I’m about 5’9 and I had on 6-in heels and the gown was still extremely long. So I would just suggest getting it altered to your needs a few weeks before whatever event that you may be wearing it to. I chose this as a Christmas Day ensemble but I’m thinking this would also do great for a holiday ball or maybe even a New Year’s Eve wedding guest."
"The dress is absolutely stunning. I wore it to a formal dinner in November. I was the hit of the evening. Everyone wanted to know where I got that gorgeous dress! The fabric is wonderful, especially the beautiful flowing skirt. It's just another example of why I have become an IGIGI girl!"
