"This is the second item of this kind I have purchased of this type. Last year I purchased a white cotton bolero jacket, this year I purchased a black dressy type jacket. I love it. "I wore this jacket to my sister's wedding this weekend and it was perfect! I am always in between two sizes and I opted for the larger of the two and it was the right thing to do with this jacket. The day was windy and a little chilly and this jacket was perfect because of the thicker material. This is no flimzy thin material. The dress I wore was a long black strapless gown and I needed a jacket that wouldn't close in the front at all because I wanted the detailing along the bust to show, this jacket did just that, it covered my arms and back without taking away from the dress. "I am a size 18 and ordered 18/20. It fit over my 17 inch thick arms, which was my main concern easlly! The material is not light, by any means, which is good for me because i live in New York and it has been cold. It is stretchy and soft as well. You can dress it up or down, I'm going to get a lot of use from this cute little bolero. It's amazing how something when it fits so well, can make you feel soooo good! "

versatile but size up.

"The bolero is well made, but be warned that the fit is small. I am 39 inches in the bust area (my measurements are a bit smaller than the size 12) and I found it too small - especially across the shoulders. Because I did not want to pay return postage from Australia, I "stretched" it a bit and seems ok. Also it is very thick and far too hot to wear in an Aussie summer, even in the evening. Would be good for winter. It is much heavier and thicker than the other basic bolero shrug (often teamed with maxi dresses in the photos, which I have in sea blue). "
