1999
After a disappointing shopping trip looking for a stylish and sophisticated outfit for her full-figured mother, Yuliya hears her calling and decides to design a collection of affordable, classic and trendy pieces in sizes 14-32 available to the mass market.

2000
A start-up is born. IGIGI launches out of a friend’s garage at www.igigi.com.

2001
IGIGI gains Yuliya’s sister as its second employee and fit model.

2002
Yuliya meets her future husband and IGIGI CEO, Alex Brodsky, who initiates an ambitious growth plan to put the company on the map. BBW magazine picks up on the company and features IGIGI designs in a fashion spread.

2004
IGIGI now has five employees and a few thousands of happy customers. Letters of appreciation start flowing in.

2005
IGIGI quadruples in revenue and moves out of the garage to corporate offices to house its nine employees and provide for five thousand plus customers.

2006
IGIGI triples in revenue, moves headquarters to downtown San Francisco, CA and opens first retail store. Features about IGIGI appear in Apparel News, San Francisco Examiner and San Francisco Business Times.

IGIGI launches a yearlong national model search program to scout new faces for the industry. Winner Brittany Bird gets a modeling contract with a national modeling agency, a photo shoot featured at www.igigi.com along with a slew of other prizes.

2007
IGIGI is established as a major player in the market with tens of thousands of customers all over the world.

Yuliya initiates a couture line of custom-made dresses. Rising Hairspray star Nikki Blonksy becomes first customer and shows off her curves in an IGIGI couture piece at the movie premiere.

IGIGI launches first-ever career wear collection made up of woven separates. The company also adds size 12 to its collections, which makes a feature story in Apparel News.

IGIGI makes it on national TV via American Idol, BET Music Awards and the Today Show.

Jill Scott wears IGIGI on the cover of Essence Magazine and Nikki Blonksy is featured dressed in IGIGI on the cover of Figure.

Other placements happen in Woman’s Day, Life and Style, Plus Model Magazine, Essence, Skorch Magazine as well as numerous blogs and other media outlets.

As the year comes to a close, December marks a milestone and IGIGI makes it into Glamour magazine in a “Before and After’ fit feature.

2008
IGIGI is featured in Lifetime TV movie Queen Sized.

Golden Globe nominee Nikki Blonksy wears an IGIGI couture dress to the Screen Actors Guild award.
