Dear Igigi,
Before discovering Igigi, I approached fashion in the "I am a big woman, so cover up as much as possible in black baggy clothing" attitude. How wrong I was!
Recently, I purchased a number of your dresses. They are beautiful and quite flattering.
Last night, I wore the Igigi "Sarafan in Turquoise/Multi" sundress to dinner with my husband. When he saw me dressed properly for the very first time since our wedding, he was VERY pleased to say the least!
He was so very adorable. At the restaurant, he was walking around like a strutting peacock, like HE was the one dressed up. He said he could not stop looking at me.
I now understand why women like "dressing up" for guys. I truly felt beautiful for the first time in many years.

Dear Igigi,
Recently I had the challenge of packing a single bag for a week in Paris. Sometime between the Eiffel Tower and the Mona Lisa, it dawned on me that not only was I one of the best dressed women in Paris, every single outfit I had brought was from Igigi.
Igigi's clothes travel beautifully (even when squeezed into a tightly packed suitcase) they fit like a dream, look glamorous anywhere in the world, and seem to last forever. If I have only one life to live, let me live it wearing Igigi.

The first thing I noticed when I slipped it on was that it was comfortable! I looked at myself in the mirror, and I saw my curves shown off to the best advantage possible, but didn't need to be wearing fifteen layers of undergarments to give me a good silhouette! How liberating!
I love the fact that this dress, as do most of IGIGI's dresses, has thicker shoulder straps that hide a bra strap very well, yet does not interfere with the design or the sexiness of the dress. Some of us are lucky to be blessed with more than our fair share up on top, and I love the fact that I can wear my good, sexy and supporting bras under this dress. I love how the material flows in the pleats to the ankle. My favorite thing to do in this dress is spin around and around and watch it flare and flow! I know, I know, am I a 5-year-old or what?
I am so glad that I got this dress. My husband was totally taken with it as well. He said we have to go out for Valentine's Day, and I have to wear the dress! What better recommendation can I give it?

I got my Eternal Beauty dress today. I have never had a dress that I felt that I looked good in until now. You can't tell what the whole dress looks like because I have a cheap webcam and I can't go back any farther because I'll hit my bed.... but I assure you, it looks incredible. Dear Igigi,
I ordered two Fairytale Gowns in midnight blue for my two bridesmaids for my June 10 wedding. Thought you might appreciate a picture of the dresses "in action." The are VERY flattering, and beautiful. They photographed so well, and were a wonderful part of my wedding.
What I like most about your clothing is that it is specifically for plus sized women who don't want to look frumpy or uncomfortable. We also all love the fact that the models are generously sized as well. So often plus size clothing is modeled on thin models, which often makes the clothing not fit accurately (or be flattering) when you actually try it on. My sincerest thanks for bringing out the true beauty in my maid of honor and bridesmaid. I will definitely be a return customer for future special events.

I thought I would let you know how happy I was with my first purchase

your wonderful online store. I needed an outfit for the Disney Princess
party and I bought the Shimmering Dress in Liquid Gold - on sale what a
bargain! It arrived on my doorstep in Brazil exactly 7 days from placing the
order and fit perfectly. I truly felt like a princess and had a wonderful

Once again, when it was time for a grand occasion (the opera) I turned to Igigi. I ordered the new jewel strapped gown in midnight blue - it is gorgeous and fits like a dream and is so comfortable it doesn't even feel like formal wear! It arrived beautifully wrapped with a wonderful travel cover to boot! I love love love your clothes, which are top quality, pack wonderfully, are sophisticated and chic, and a real value. Many dept. store searches had left me depressed until I found your site and realized there is someone out there who understands that a full figured woman is not a) a couch to be upholstered in big obnoxious prints or b) somebody's great grandma. OK
- So I am getting married this April, and a few months ago, set out on
the worst journey of my life - purchasing my wedding dress. Initially I
wanted something non-traditional, but my mother had her heart set on a white
dress, and I wanted to make her happy. I found a dress in a magazine
that I loved and knew that it would look fabulous on me, but since
it was so expensive, I wanted to see it in person. I called several salons
around town (Denver, CO) and found that while several carried the designer,
none carried plus sizes. One lovely woman actually laughed at me when I
told her what size I needed. (I wear a 22). I found one where the woman
on the phone seemed nice enough - until I got there. Of course, they didn't
have samples in my size, and the woman proceeded to pin a gown on me. Which
I didn't like at all. I left, feeling disappointed and crying, called my
finance.
He calmed me down, I went to David's Bridal. They had a gown similar to
the one I had originally fallen in love with. They did stock samples in my
size, but after the way the sales people treated not only me, but my mother
(herself a BBW), I vowed that I wouldn't give them an ounce of business.
The tiny arrogant women at David's actually started snickering at my mother
who was looking through their sale gowns. (By the way - they never put Plus
Size dresses on sale). I left, feeling worse than I had about myself in a
long long time.
I was raised to believe that I am a beautiful woman with beautiful curves
and
a lot to offer this world. My finance thinks I am beautiful and loves my
curves, and I never felt less of a woman because of them - in fact, I felt
somehow blessed that I was this soft curvy goddess. I always assumed that my
friends (and we've all had them) who try to push me toward this diet or that
workout regimen just didn't get it. I dress and carry myself with class.
I am educated, passionate, giving, and loving. There is nothing about me
that
is haughty or distasteful, but I was treated as though I was somehow less
than
human. To laugh at a bride who looks different than you is to demean her
and
it takes away from what should be the happiest time of her life. No one has
any right to do that.
In the end, I decided that I deserved to look as beautiful as anyone else,
because this is my day. This is the most important day of my life - and it
will be the most beautiful too. I decided to change my attitude about the
whole dress thing, and forgo a traditional white gown. I found the dress of
my dreams on the igigi web site (I am getting the crown jewels velvet gown
in tanzanite). I just ordered it, and I can't wait to put it on.
Who cares if you don't wear what is traditional or expected, the important
part of the wedding isn't the dress or veil - it's the love. I wouldn't be
able to appreciate or understand the love of my wonderful fiance if I hadn't
been able to love myself - hips, boobs, butt and all. I was letting a dress
sap the joy out of my day. I'm glad I changed my mind.

Dear Igigi,
I just wanted to let you know something that happened the other day.
I'd ordered the Sofia Dress in Latte with Matching Shrug, and tried it
on. I thought it fit.... funny. It was clingy in places that I didn't
expect it to be clingy, and the shrug didn't cover much, and I worried
about it. Sure, my husband said it looked good, but he's a guy, what
does he know?
So last week I wore it to take my 20-something daughter and her
husband out for dinner. My daughter, Maia, saw me and said, "Wow! Mom,
I love that dress! I bet it's from Igigi!"
I laughed and asked her how she could tell.
"Because it fits you so well! Usually you wear clothes that are too
baggy so you just look round and fat. But Igigi clothes show that you
have a *figure*. I always know when you're wearing Igigi because you
look great."
Well! I guess it's OK to wear something clingy after all!

While some would say your price is higher...it's true...but your clothes are made better and fit better...I think the price was well worth it. I have been currently in the process of trying to plan my impromptu wedding plans over the course of these last few weeks. We have a remaining 3 weeks until we're leaving for a Las Vegas wedding and honeymoon. Needless to say, pulling all this together in such a short time was seeming impossible. I had spent quite a bit of time previously to researching different avenues for wedding apparel for a lack of time and money. Not need to mention that I'm a big girl and it's hard to find items that I fit as well as like.
Just as I was about to pull out my last color treated hair I tripped upon your website in a search on Google.com. I was hopeful, but not entirely convinced. I'd stumbled across quite a few others that I thought might have something and they were either too expensive, didn't have my size available, or I just plain out didn't like them.
I not only found what I'd eventually decided to order and a couple of others to consider, but also about another dozen garments which I told myself I would come back to order once I got past this event. And to top it all off the service was great!! I ordered my wedding dress (the platinum satin gown) on a Saturday night, it shipped out Monday, and I picked it up from Fedex Wednesday night. A whole day before they were even giving for their estimated delivery date!The dress is gorgeous and fits great! Now a little latex for the occasional roll and it will be perfect. ;) Thanks to your great dress and superb service, I really believe I'm going to feel beautiful on my wedding day.

I just received my first order from you and I am *SO* pleased with what I ordered. I spent weeks and weeks looking for a dress for my sister’s wedding and came up short. When I stumbled upon your website I was immediately happy with the styles and colors! I figured I’d take a chance and order, even though I doubted the dresses were as nice as they looked in print. I agonized between two dresses and finally chose the one that was more appropriate (but not as much fun!) as my top choice from your site.

Well, I returned from my business trip today, and found my "awesome" liquid platinum dress waiting for me!!! I have never been so excited running down the hall to open a box. To make a long story short - it is perfect. It is a little tighter in the chest area than I would have purchased, but that is ok -- I'm just telling myself that it is "support for the girls"! :P
I just wanted to tell you all how helpful your Customer Service was. They worked with me until I was comfortable, and the dress was in the mail. The woman I was working with was from Australia - I think her name was Stacey. She is fabulous - and you should give that girl a big raise!! Love the dress and the service. I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how impressed with you I am. I ordered a wrap-around dress from you on Friday morning and by the afternoon I received an e-mail letting me know it had been shipped. There was no mail on Monday due to the holiday and I was not expecting it until much later in the week. When I got home today it was sitting on my porch waiting for me.
When I opened the package, I was impressed to see my dress on a hanger, not folded up and wrinkled. I was a little nervous about the fabric, afraid that it would be clingy (really not a good look for me). The dress fits wonderfully and I am looking forward to wearing it out for a nice dinner with my husband and without our small children.

I just received the dress I ordered for my 13-year old daughter and she is thrilled. She has been on a lot of medication this year and went from a size 11 to a 16/18. Shopping with her at the malls has been terrible and all of the plus-size stores near us are meant for “women”. It really boosted her confidence to be able to try the dress on at home and not in a dressing room where the “skinny-minis” are trying on their size 7’s.
