"This afternoon after church I took pics at my family’s home in the country. Luckily today the horses were actually out. Last time I was there and wanted to take pics no horses or anything were out and about. Today I had ducks running around me and the horses were extra friendly. (I still wasn’t crossing that gate though in my church clothes lol). They even wanted to be in my lil mini photoshoot. Even looks as if they’re posing in some of the pictures. (That’s funny, check it out).
Anyway I’m wearing the Monique Dress from IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel. It is a two-tone gold and metallic faux-wrap dress with full lining. This was another one of my outfits that I had originally planned for New York Fashion Week but am just now getting around to wearing it. To keep in sync with the gold accents on the dress, I added a statement necklace/earring set and swapped out the belt that comes with the Ambrosia Dress (also by IGIGI) and paired it with this Monique Dress. The fit of this dress is overall superb but since I’m large-busted, after looking back over my pics, I should have worn a cami underneath so that’s a little style pointer if you’re full-busted too.

"So as I was watching The Real Housewives of Atlanta Sunday before last my girl Kenya Moore coined a phrase that stuck with me. She had on a long flowy gown and did a twirl and said that she was “Gone With The Wind Fabulous”. I immediately fell in love with that saying and even googled a pic of it and shared it on my facebook page right after the show went off and also made that my twitter background photo earlier last week.
I decided then that I would name my Christmas Day outfit blog that title. I had been hoping all week that no other blogger would do the same. So as I was watching The Real Housewives of Atlanta Sunday before last my girl Kenya Moore coined a phrase that stuck with me.
But low and behold yesterday I got an email alert from the fab curvy blogger Naturally Fashionable and her latest post was titled none other than, “Gone With The Wind Fabulous”. I thought about renaming my post “The Belle of the Ball” but I just had my heart set all week on “Gone With The Wind Fabulous” so me and Naturally Fashionable are just gonna have to share it, lol.
You see IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel sent me this fabulous gown a couple of months ago for review and I knew that it would be perfect to wear as my Christmas Day dress since I’m hosting the family dinner. It is called the Lakshmi Beaded Gown, and it so reminds me of old Hollywood glamour. To add more of a “Gone With The Wind” touch to it I paired it up with a faux-fur Mossimo coat ($35 from Target 2009), brown Chanel sunglasses and long black evening gloves. The gown is black at the top and the bottom is a deep burgundy hue made of a beaded mesh material with exquisite detailing tulle fabric with two-tone sequins embroidery and a black sash belt.
Now I’m about 5’9 and I had on 6-in heels and the gown was still extremely long. So I would just suggest getting it altered to your needs a few weeks before whatever event that you may be wearing it to. I chose this as a Christmas Day ensemble but I’m thinking this would also do great for a holiday ball or maybe even a New Year’s Eve wedding guest."
"This morning I attended my son’s band concert at his school and wore this new dress from the IGIGI ‘Golden Age of Couture’ collection. I previewed some of the collection last month in a post and this dress that I wore today was one of my faves from the line. It is called the Margarita Plus Size Gown in Crimson. I chose this gown for one because of the on-trend cold shoulder design and the side-slit with ruffle detailing. You can really get your Angelie Jolie Famous Leg Pose on in this one.
This wrinkle-free jersey gown is another one of my holiday recommendations and is perfect for either a formal event, a night of dancing or for attending a jazz concert like I did today. I wanted to be sure he saw me in the crowd and with this beautiful hue of red he was sure to spot me. (Hey, I’m trynna get (Christmas) Mother of the Year here, lol).
But regardless of the color, you will always be a standout in every IGIGI item anyway. The plunging V-neck shows just the right amount of the décolleté, the side seam slit is decorated with the waterfall flounce and it even has a jewelry-like detail in its hand-beaded embellishment. You won’t need many accessories in addition to the side embellishment and therefore I only wore dangled earrings and a sparkly bracelet."
"Today I arrived in New York for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week/Fashion’s Night Out. I got in at the crack of dawn and first on my agenda was being an audience member at the "Wendy Williams Show".
For the show I decided to wear my new Ambrosia Dress from IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel. It is from the new fall collection and is one sexy number. It is made of a ruched jersey material so you know that it hugs all of your curves in a fabulous way. The dress comes with a gorgeous gold beaded belt so I based my accessories from the belt.
I wore a statement necklace which unfortunately broke before I got on set but I still took pics in it but I’m just holding it up with my hands. I loved the vibrant blue hue of this dress and as I walked the streets of NYC I received quite a few compliments. A lady always loves that:)"
"This was supposed to be my Thanksgiving Day outfit, but I got so lazy after cooking and cleaning that I stayed in lounge clothes all day, LOL. But after putting it on today, I was pleased with my outcome. "
"I wore this beautiful gown on a recent photo shoot that I did for my 2-Year Blogiversary. I wanted a classic Hollywood look with this trendy yet classic piece. It is designed in the color block theme of black and ivory and can be worn several different ways including strapless, one-shoulder or with both sleeves. From the moment it arrived, I felt like a red-carpet starlet.
IGIGI goes the extra mile to ship your packages already on the hanger in an oversized box so that when you open your package, it’s wrinkle free and ready for wear. Once I stepped on set all eyes were on me. But then again, whenever I wear IGIGI clothing, it stands out in the crowd. (Even though I wore this specifically for a photo shoot, this gown is perfect for a semi-formal affair, an evening wedding or a Broadway play or theatre show).
The gown comes with the Aurora Beaded Belt that snaps in the back for a nice secure fit. Since the belt had beading on it, I wanted to wear jewelry to compliment that. My jewelry has sort of a black and gold tone to it to compliment the belt.

"I wore this dress to my friend/make-up artist Manaya’s wedding. In addition to the bride being beautiful, I wanted to wear something appropriate for the wedding as well. I neither wanted to overdress nor be too casual. So, I went for a sure winner by choosing this long maxi dress.
I had originally already chosen another IGIGI dress to wear, but this one just called my name for this occasion. Manaya and I are known for taken a million pictures at events that we attend, so I wanted to be sure that our dresses coordinated today for her special day. Well we did just that, and I even “ALMOST” caught the bouquet too!

"I wore my new dress zebra print maxi dress to my son’s 5th grade graduation. I chose this dress because number one, you can never go wrong with IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel. Two, I love the way that the IGIGI maxi dresses fit me. For my height they fall just right over a pair of high heels. Also, I can vouch for all IGIGI dresses that I own, and say that they are made from some of the best quality materials. Very red-carpet ready apparel. Lastly, the way that it looked on the model in the pictures sold me from first sight.
I have already decided that, although I may be another Kim Zolziak, but if I ever get married, I’m changing gowns at least twice and one of them will definitely be an IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel. I really am a true fan of this brand. Every piece makes you feel like royalty.
The Kiyomi dress comes already fully-lined so no need for a slip or worrying about the sun shining through it. I kept my jewelry minimal because the dress is a statement piece on its own, and I didn’t want to overshadow that. "
"I wore the Rebecca Gown on Friday, August 31st when I was a special guest on the WTVR CBS News 6 “Virginia This Morning” show. I hosted a segment on ‘Back to School Fashion’. I styled 3 models in fall fashions for elementary & middle schoolers and a college student.
I don’t even have to say much about this dress because my readers should already know from previous blogs about IGIGI, the craftsmanship in these gowns is impeccable. This is a floor length gown with a high slit over the left thigh area and also comes with a stylish tassel belt in bronze. "
"I had been debating all week what to wear to the "Tropical Divas" fashion show here in Richmond. I decided on this maxi dress. It was a choice between two IGIGI's that I had to wear, and I’m glad that I chose this one tonight because the other dress I almost wore at first was actually in the show.
The name of this dress is called the "Naime" and has been a sell-out on the IGIGI website. It was featured in this months Skorch Magazine and other publications too. That’s why I waited a little while before wearing it. I would hate to have on the same dress as someone else at an event. (I was lucky tonight with the other dress being in the show).
Anyway, I always go for these style maxi dresses from IGIGI because they fit me just right. The Naime dress comes with a black belt to wear with it, but I swapped that out for the IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel Tassel Belt in Bronze to match my bronze bag and sandals. It is about 57-inches in length so be sure to wear a little higher heel when wearing it. "
"My astrological sign is Virgo and according to our data, we are known to love earth-tone colors such as orange, brown and deep hues. The dress that I’m wearing today is filled with all of the earthly colored hues.
This dress can be worn in both summer and early fall due to the lining that is sewn into it. It is made of a wrinkle free jersey material and if you’re a little larger busted I would suggest adding a camisole underneath the dress to ensure that your bra won’t be showing. (I had my Mom just place a safety-pin in mine for me today because once we had already left for church that’s when I realized it was showing my bra a little).
I’ve had a bracelet in my jewelry box for years with the exact same colors in the dress, so I paired that with my burgundy earring and necklace set. I switched up the look of this dress a couple of times for different styling options. First, I added a brown belt to it, then I added a wide-brim hat minus the belt and I also wore it minus the hat and added a vintage Fendi clutch. "
"I had been debating all week on what to wear to today’s fashion show with celeb stylist Clinton Kelly. Since the weather was so warm out this afternoon I decided that rather than wearing my original faux-leather outfit to opt for my go-to designer IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel instead. This is the dress that I was supposed to wear day before yesterday for my birthday dinner, but my plans were changed, so instead I wore it today to the show. I always say that my favorite colors are purple, pink and turquoise but now I’m starting to think that royal blue is taking over my wardrobe.
It is a fully lined, boat neck jersey dress. The sleeves are dolman, and there is a side-draping detail that diverts attention away from the tummy area. I added a belt to the dress to not only compliment the blue hue but to accentuate the waist area as well. I paired up the dress with a statement necklace and matching earrings with the colors of blue, purple, green and red in it. I’m actually carrying a laptop case as my purse because I always have so much stuff with me that a regular purse just doesn’t cut it anymore.
Let’s just say that this blue is my lucky color, or that this dress is a standout because I happened to snag a pic with the man himself, Clinton Kelly, while he was doing his book signing after the fashion show. (P.S. fans were supposed to be only allowed to have him sign their books and not take individual pics, but I was able to get his wonderful security to actually let me take a pic with him standing beside me, wink wink.
